I skipped school to read books. That about sums it up. I don't fit in a box unless it is the Tardis. I have very eclectic tastes. I like - to laugh, to watch foreign films, documentaries, long walks anywhere (city or country), finding out of the way places, silence, smiles, eye contact, kindness, coffee, wine, salad, multiple computer screens, finding new awesome places simply because you got lost, meeting strangers and finding out we really not different at all.

The best experience I've had traveling was in Perugia. I was having dinner with friends, and we were laughing a lot. A couple came over to meet us and said, "We just had to meet you because your smile brightens up the room." That was the best compliment I've ever received.

I'm working on my dissertation, hope to be finished this year, so don't have too much time, but would like to get out and remind myself to have fun.
