Enthusiasm and Wackiness

My pattern of nerdery is to get really incredibly into something and find out all about it, and then eventually get passionate about something new. Some of the things I've been into range from DC comics (a very long-running interest!) to Antarctic exploration to Firefly to the Olympics.

So yeah, I'm a nerd in a lot of different ways, but none of them are all-consuming. Comic books are a big thing, some sci fi, some fantasy, some geeky tv. . . other random stuff.

In my copious free time since graduating, I've become more interested in social justice and thinking about the world. Although I'm not super-intense about going to rallies and carrying on letter campaigns, caring about the world is important to me.

When not obsessing over random trivia, I lead a pretty low-key lifestyle, but I like going on mini-adventures. Stuff like going with my friends to a new neighborhood and exploring it, checking out museums, going on day trips. I'm always up for canoeing if canoeing is available - although please don't think I'm sporty or outdoorsy.

I can be quiet but am also friendly! And excited to see who I might meet.
