Hello readers of my profile! I'm being asked my definition of a nerd, and how it applies to me. I consider someone who might be scholastically inclined at the detriment of social interaction a nerd. Interest in alternative media and lifestyles contribute to that definition. This definitely applies to me, as I'm not exactly comfortable with the thought of interacting with people I don't really know (which might just be a mild case of agoraphobia, who knows?). My hobbies would definitely be considered "nerdy" by most, and they include playing video games (mostly WoW), surfing the net, watching anime and being involved in the cosplay scene, internet podcasting (I'm actually involved with an internet radio podcast dedicated to video games...I know, hardly a sign of introversion, right? Trust me, it was hard enough doing that) and sleeping.

Why I'm here is probably the most important question to answer. I'm in a relationship, so I'm not looking for that. I am more interested in finding other geeks to interact with. I have friends, but having more certainly doesn't hurt =)
