Nerd: intellectual who cares not for social norms. I walk around town with a parrot on my shoulder, a cane, and a big sun hat. I ran screaming from politics to law because at least there they can't *ignore* facts. I'm a nerd. You wouldn't guess it if you saw me at a social function in my suit and perfect if cheap makeup. I hide it, then I go raid Ulduar with mah guildies. I need a fellow nerd I can stay up with all night long rambling about life and politics. I'm an egghead, and I've already been with someone that resented it, so I don't need that again. I want a best friend I can cuddle with and have the expected benefits.

I'm also chronically sick with lupus. I'm not dying, but I am in pain a lot. However I have a kickass cane I'm convinced makes me a female Dr. House. For Japanese culture nuts out there, one of my friends referred to my cane as "the bastard lovechild of House and Yoshiki". Nerd points to you if you know what that means.

I don't desire social contact very much and don't expect it in a partner as long as they tolerate me sometimes flopping down and falling asleep against their back.

A good night is a good conversation, and/or curling up with a cheap vodka drink (expensive is good but I'm poor!) or glass of wine and watching Futurama or the latest foreign documentary on the projection monitor.

I'm ok with people who don't turn out ok the first time around. It took me 5 years after initial college to figure out what I wanted, prep, and become damn good at it. Now I'm in the career I truly want, law. I appreciate that kind of honesty and willingness to experiment from people.

In terms of what I'm looking for... I'm odd like that. Most of my friends are male. I want to most other females after 10min with them. However, I find VERY few men physically attractive and/or would consider dating them. I'm hardwired to be picky for some reason. Chances are I WILL want to be friends with you, and I will certainly want to be very good friends with anyone I date. I'd rather have someone I can be honest with and have hours of entertaining conversation than a gushy romantic. Don't get me wrong, I like roses, but brains and compatibility are better.
