Geek for Life I'm comfortable with myself, independent, intelligent, capable, and want to "want" someone, rather than "need" someone. I'm not looking to be dependent. I would like to find someone who can handle all that, and still likes to have fun, play games, see the world, and isn't afraid to: learn and oppose stagnancy. Can't be intimidated by someone who's smart and has opinions. Can't be someone who's afraid to be seen with a "non-Barbie", either. I would love to meet someone who is also comfortable in their own skin.
My Definition of a Geek vs. a Nerd: This is a hard line to truly, solidly define. To me, a geek dabbles more in the pop culture aspect. Games, comics, writing, movies, TV, music, etc. A geek can tell you what THAC0 means, and also what being a "red shirt" means. They can quote lines from Firefly AND Serenity. However, nerd, to me, means someone who's mathematical, scientific, and hyper intelligent. A physicist, forensic pathologist, or numbers genius would be nerds in my book.
However, there is no fundamental law that states that you cannot be both.
