"Truth is rarely pure and never simple." Eck. I don't like to write about myself. I'm pretentious enough to believe I can't define myself in a mere smattering of paragraphs- But hell, I'll give it a go.

I enjoy going places. Anywhere really, the farther the better... To date, the most wonderful place I've been is Manhattan. I've been known to have an off-and-on fling with Guitar Hero, buy books solely for their cover, and mercilessly force unsuspecting friends to watch Star Wars. I have a sick love of musicals, ah, Broadway, I adore thee... I can be a B---- about controlling the radio in my car, psedo-chain smoke when I'm in that sort of mood (Which usually involves a bit of Belle & Sebastian as well as intoxicating beverages), and I actually enjoy writing essays.

In fact, I'm currently striving for a degree in English (likely with a concentration in literature) that will be worth the paper it is written on, providing it is quite cheap paper. I enjoy writing almost as much as reading; my favorite author is Oscar Wilde, closely followed by Douglas Adams.

When it comes to music, my favorite bands are Belle & Sebastian, The Beatles, and The Dresden Dolls. I love almost the entire British Invasion, and all the stereotypical hippie music of the sixties and seventies. I despise the eighties (and not just for the music) with few exceptions. I approve of the nineties, even though they were grungy, and dig some more recent bands.
